Tacky Lights & A Christmas Party

It finally feels like the holidays! Definitely not in the weather sense, because Virginia gave us a shorts-and-dresses (without tights) weekend.

Other than the weather, though, all was pretty Holiday-themed this weekend. I went and saw the crazy Saturday-before-Christmas shoppers (one cashier told us that you know it’s the weekend before because you can see men shopping, har har).

To start, we went to visit some more Christmas lights, which we found through this website:

I had to rush to take this picture, because this house was on the end of a cul-de-sac, and there was a traffic jam of sorts…those poor neighbors! They were all really impressive, though, and pictures don’t do them justice. This one had fake snow and a train that blew steam!

Saturday night was the Christmas party, complete with a Dirty Santa exchange, a photobooth shoot, and maybe more wine than we intended:

Sunday I went to my sister Adrienne‘s house and we made sugar cookies….and by made I mean we tried really hard but I’m terrible at measuring and we’re apparently terrible at leaving them in too long….but hey, we’re trying! πŸ˜‰

We also opened gifts, and of course her dogs were not left out:
